HOW TO APPLY: 220 Job Vacancies At The Kenya Forest Service
The Kenya Forest Service (KFS) has announced a massive recruitment drive, with 220 permanent and pensionable job openings across 26 different sections.
These positions range from drivers and administrative assistants to office assistants, and applications are due by July 1.
Among the various positions advertised, KFS is hiring 32 Office Assistants III/Nursery/Enumerator, 10 Plant Operators III, 20 Driver III, 30 Records Management Assistants III, and two Customer Care Assistants.

Furthermore, there are 32 openings for Officer Administrator Assistant III, 10 for ICT Assistants, 15 for Accounts Assistant II, and 15 for Human Resource Management Assistant II.
Specialized roles.
KFS is also looking to fill more specialized positions, including two Librarians who must have a Certificate in Library/Information Science from a recognized institution and be proficient in computer applications.
There are also seven positions for Inspector of Roads, which require a Diploma in Civil Engineering and computer application proficiency.
Technical positions.
In technical fields, KFS is looking for seven Survey Assistants with a Diploma in Surveying or equivalent and membership in the Kenya Institution of Surveyors.
There are eight open positions for Supply Chain Management Assistants, all of which require a diploma from the Kenya Institute of Supply Management or its equivalent.
Administrative and financial roles.
The recruitment drive includes five Administrative Assistant positions in KFS Grade 10.
Responsibilities include managing utility payments, maintenance requests, and servicing fire equipment.
Applicants must hold a Diploma in Public Administration, Business Administration, Office Management, or a comparable qualification.
In addition, fifteen Accounts Assistant II positions are available. Duties include revenue accounting, fund receipt and banking, and financial record keeping.
Applicants must hold a KATC II (Final) or Accounting Technician Diploma from KASNEB.

Qualifications and benefits.
Most positions require diplomas, while others accept applicants with Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Grade D+.
Successful applicants will receive a variety of allowances.
House allowances range from Ksh5,000 to Ksh50,000 per month, depending on location, while commuter allowances range from Ksh5,000 to Ksh15,000.
Medical allowances cover employees and their dependents and are provided through a medical insurance scheme.
Risk allowances ranging from Ksh5,000 to Ksh20,000 are available for those working in high-risk environments.
Annual leave is equivalent to one month’s salary, and hardship allowances of up to Ksh20,000 are available to those living in remote areas.
Senior officers receive salaries ranging from Ksh30,000 to Ksh300,000.

Step 2: Applicants must print the notification email and attach it as the first page of the hard copy application.
