Shock As Father Kills 2 Sons, Attempts Suicide In Nakuru
Police in Nakuru are holding a man accused of poisoning and killing his two sons, ages 7 and 12, before trying suicide.
The suspect, a boda boda rider only known as Robert, is currently recovering at Nakuru Teaching and Referral Hospital under close police monitoring.
The victims’ mother stated that the incident occurred while she was at work on Thursday. She works as a food seller and delivers.
Speaking to the press, the mother described sighting the suspect’s motorcycle outside her home while making deliveries and assuming her two sons were safe.
She resumed her work, making tea deliveries, before briefly dropping by her house to replenish supplies and use the restroom.
She then returned to her business and called the suspect to see what he wanted for lunch, intending to deliver his and her sons’ food when she finished her delivery.
While doing so, two of her other children arrived at her employment and informed her that the two children at home were sobbing and in poor health, unable to be relocated.
“I asked them where the father was and they told me that he had gone to pick a client. I was feeling restless, so I asked my co-worker to hold the fort as I rushed home,” the boys’ mother said.
When she returned home, she saw her two children suffering from acute diarrhea and weeping. There was feces all throughout the house.

The mom notified her neighbors, who transported the two boys to the hospital.
Confused and concerned, she rushed there on her own, only to discover that the boys’ father had also been admitted to the same institution.
Unfortunately, the two youngsters died while being treated.
Their bodies are lying at the Nakuru Hospital mortuary as police question their father.
