According to sources familiar with the situation, while some employees have been working for months without full pay, others used the opportunity to seek greener pastures elsewhere, so forfeiting their unpaid dues, although unwillingly.
However, the former employees have stayed vociferous about the salary owed to them by one of Kenya’s oldest media firms, and they have devised a strategy to ensure that their views are heard.

Some dissatisfied former employers have claimed that the corporation owes them hundreds of thousands of dollars in salary.

The company is thought to have failed to honour a one-year redundancy payment plan when some of the employees’ contracts were terminated.
The planned march by former employees comes only months after the company’s employees sought to take matters into their own hands by refusing to work in the middle of the day.
