Serena Williams’ Daughter Spotted Wearing A Kenyan Flagged Bracelet
As the Kenyan flag and culture fly high at the Paris Olympics, tennis legend Serena Williams’ daughter has been spotted wearing a Kenyan bracelet.
In a video shared by Williams and her husband Alexis Ohanian, the seven-year-old is seen wearing the beadwork, while a Kenyan comments on it.
The family is in Paris, France, for the 2024 Olympics, and the young girl, Alexis Olympia, received the bracelet along with pins from other countries.
Reacting to the video, Winnie Njuguna asked, “Where did she get this wristband? Looks like beadwork of the Kenyan flag.”
From some Kenyan players! She was so excited to meet them and ask for their pin (and they gave her an even better upgrade with that bracelet!) https://t.co/EUjF4sqleZ

Ohanian then explained that she got it from a Kenyan player.
“From some Kenyan players! She was so excited to meet them and ask for their pin (and they gave her an even better upgrade with that bracelet!),” the father said.
As the pin trading tradition became more prevalent during the summer games, Kenyan players began to distribute bracelets rather than pins.
Olympic pin trading is a long-standing tradition among athletes, spectators, and event staff.
The Olympics are about more than just sports and who is better than whom. They are about celebrating culture.
People collect pins to commemorate unforgettable memories.
Athletes trade official country pins with their competitors throughout the Olympic Village, as well as specialised pins from sponsors, media networks, and host cities.
Pin trading dates back to 1896 in Athens, Greece, when countries wore cardboard badges that were originally intended to identify judges and Olympic officials.
