Over the years, a rise in mortality among the force has been blamed on mental health issues.
In response, police authorities have implemented counseling programs, and the National Police Service Commission has formed a team to address these issues.
According to officials, this section will oversee outreach initiatives aimed at preventing cops from experiencing mental health crises or engaging in substance misuse.
