INCONCLUSIVE! Officials Conflicted By The Autopsy Of Slain Briton’s Body

An autopsy on the body of Briton Campbell Scott was inconclusive.

Officials stated the soft tissue injuries found on Scott’s body were too mild to kill him.  This forced pathologists to choose samples for additional testing.

The autopsy on Scott’s body was performed on Thursday at a morgue in Makueni.

This forced investigators to rethink their approach to determining the cause of death.

Dr. Richard Njoroge, a government pathologist, did the autopsy. His family was present.

The autopsy failed to show what caused his death, so they had to collect samples for testing at the government chemist.

The police had already discovered injuries that suggested he had been strangled or struck by a blunt object.

However, this story shifted later on. Investigators say they suspect Scott’s killers are hiding in Mombasa. The motivation has yet to be determined.

According to authorities, after disposing of his body in a woodland in Makueni, they fled to Mombasa, where they are hiding.

Police suspect the killers were wanted his money.

They had kept him in a house in Nairobi’s Pipeline neighborhood for several days before killing him and transporting his body to Makongo woodland, where it was recovered on February 22.

It’s possible that the killers also had access to his bank accounts. Police are looking into that possibility.

Police believe Scott was not new to Nairobi. There are indications that he had already visited the city.

Scott went missing from his hotel in Nairobi on February 17, and his body was discovered in a wilderness days later.

Scott’s body was positively recognized at Makueni County Referral Hospital on Monday, February 24, after laying there for two days.

It was discovered in a woodland on Saturday, February 22, put in a sack, and sent to the local mortuary, where officials identified it.
