“Not Yet, But It Will Work!” – Ruto Tells Kenyans On Social Health Authority Rollout
President William Ruto has reassured Kenyans that the government’s universal healthcare initiative, the Social Health Authority, will overcome its early problems.
The President stated that this government will implement Universal Health Coverage, citing previous administrations’ unsuccessful attempts.
He did, however, mention that some of the challenges impeding its implementation may take some time to fix due to the scope of the initiative.
“It is the biggest programme we have in the country. It may take time for things to align, but believe you me: It is going to work,” he said.
He delivered the statements during a Sunday service at Jesus Winner Ministry in Roysambu, Nairobi, attended by Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja and MPs.

Previously, he added, health insurance was only available to people who were employed or had the resources to pay.
On jobs, President Ruto stated that the administration has put in place strong measures to offer chances for young people.
He referenced the labour export scheme, which he claims is broadening the perspectives of many young people.
