CS Mbadi Appoints Former Governor As Chair Of Trustees’ Board
Hussein Dado, former Tana River governor, has been named Chairperson of the Public Service Superannuation Fund Board of Trustees by Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi.
In an official Gazette Notice on July 4, Mbadi announced that the former governor would take over the job for the next three years, beginning immediately.
“In Exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 (1) (a) of the Public Service Superannuation Scheme Act, the Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury and Economic Planning appoints Hussein Dado,” the notice read in part.
Hussein Dado was the Governor of Tana River County from 2013 to 2017.
He was the county’s first governor since the introduction of decentralized administrations under Kenya’s 2010 Constitution.
In the modifications, the Treasury CS removed Susan Mambo’s appointment to the Public Procurement Administrative Review Board.

In the same revisions, Investment and Trade CS Lee Kinyanjui appointed Consolata Rop to the National Standards Council.
Rop will hold the role for the following three years, beginning July 4, 2025.
Julius Migos, the Education CS, also made changes to his ministry by appointing Henry Anyona to the board of the Jomo Kenyatta Foundation.

The appointments by the CSs are part of a wider initiative to improve service delivery and tackle emerging challenges.
