Lawyer Silas Jakakimba Announces Separation From Wife, Calls For Privacy
Silas Jakakimba, a city lawyer and political advisor, and his wife, Florence Adhiambo, formally announced their separation in a joint statement issued on Thursday, July 17, 2025.
The pair, who had been married for three years, described the decision as tough but one reached after much consideration and reflection.
They emphasized that the choice to part ways was made mutually and respectfully, with the full support and advice of their closest family members and religious leaders.
“This decision was reached mutually and, with respect for one another, noting with deep appreciation and gratitude, the immense love and support from both sides of our Innermost Families and Spiritual Leaders as we sought to make this decision public,” Silas stated on a post.

Despite their separation, the pair reaffirmed their dedication to privacy and their family’s well-being, and asked the public and media to give them room while they navigated this sensitive chapter.
“We remain fully committed to maintaining the privacy and well-being of our family during this transition. We ask that our privacy be respected as we navigate this personal matter,” Silas added.

They also stated unequivocally that no additional public comments will be made on the subject, so that the public and the press understand.
“We will not be making any further public statements whatsoever regarding this matter at this or at any other time -and we do appreciate your understanding,” said Silas on his X account.
The news comes three years after the couple married in a grandiose wedding ceremony.
Jakakimba encouraged the public to respect their decision as they go on a separate journey with Florence.
