Waiguru Drops MAJOR Hint About 2027 Elections
Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has intimated that she may run for another political position after serving two terms as county boss.
Waiguru welcomed requests from locals to explore seeking another leadership position in the county.
She said that the people of Kirinyaga will decide which seat she should run for in the 2027 elections.
Because of her development record, the governor expressed confidence that she would receive public support if she ran for any political office.
“I know because of my performance in terms of development, you will support my bid for any political seat when the time for elections comes,” Waiguru said.
“I ask you not to chase me away when I come asking for your support.”

Waiguru also urged Kenyans to practice tolerance and prudence, claiming that the country has come a long way toward democracy.
The governor was addressing on Thursday in Kiaragana, Ndia, during the funeral of Tharaka Nithi governor Muthomi Njuki’s father-in-law.

Waiguru cautioned that the country is inviting trouble by participating in agitation and violence.
“Where we are heading, we are playing with fire; there are those trying to stop others from speaking just because they are in a different political camp,” Waiguru warned.
“Let us be tolerant of diverse views because Kenyans are clever enough to decide who they will vote for.”
The governor stated that she has numerous political options and is closely monitoring the political mood in the country before making a decision.
