DCI Arrests School Teacher, TWO Other People Over Fake KCSE Result Slips
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has captured two individuals, one of whom is a primary school teacher, in connection with the release of bogus Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results.
Detectives said the two suspects, who went by the nickname “G.O.A.T.,” preyed on desperate parents and candidates on social media, offering to change KCSE results in exchange for money.
The two were seized separately at their homes in Kisumu and Ongata Rongai, Kajiado County.
This follows an operation led by DCI personnel with help from the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC).
“Two slick conmen are cooling their heels in police custody for their involvement in the False Publication and making of fake Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) 2025 results slips, doing rounds on various social media platforms,” DCI stated.

“Like fishermen casting bait in murky waters, the duo had been luring desperate candidates and parents with promises of “upgraded” grades, at a price. They boldly claimed they could tweak the KCSE results slip at a fee,” it added.
According to the police, the teacher, who is thought to be the scheme’s main architect, exploited his big social media following of approximately 45,200 followers to entice and exploit parents.
The police also believe that the individual has connections to other online platforms notorious for examination manipulation accusations.
These services include KNEC Legit Papers and Upgrading, Group Booster Support, KNEC/KASNEB/ICM/CDA, and KNEC Grade Editing.
The investigators have urged parents not to fall victim to such conmen, since KCSE result slips are secure, tamper-proof, and cannot be manipulated.
“A search of their mobile devices unearthed images of fake KCSE result slips and other examination material, further exposing their shady dealings,” DCI stated.
“Meanwhile, detectives have intensified efforts to track down other individuals involved in this scam, as the dragnet tightens around academic fraud networks,” it added.
