The CEO’s comment comes after Sheryl Adhiambo, a first-year medical student, was fatally shot by police on Saturday, February 7.
She was reportedly struck by a bullet as officers chased a suspected thief who had allegedly taken cover near the stall where she was standing.
Police are said to have discharged their firearms during the pursuit.

Following her demise, KMTC students staged protests in the area of Huruma Estate, where business stalls were set ablaze, prompting traders to flee and shut down operations in the busy estate.
However, police issued a statement urging calm and restraint following the confrontations.
Police assured the public that a comprehensive documentation and accountability process was underway, urging anyone with information that could help with investigations to share it with authorities.
Consequently, the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) had since taken over investigations. It was on the ground conducting inquiries with full cooperation from the police.
