Goons Stone Linda Mwananchi Truck In Kondele, Kisumu
A truck belonging to the Linda Mwananchi branch of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) was stoned on its route to Kakamega County for a demonstration on Saturday, February 21.
According to videos posted by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, the vehicle was part of a convoy headed to Kakamega when it was stoned at the Kona Mbaya business area on Friday morning.
According to a video posted by the senator, the turnboy was heckling the movement slogans just before throwing a rock at the truck.
Panic erupted, with the driver working to keep the truck on the road and the turnboy moving away, bending to the truck’s bottom to avoid the contact.
Before the video fades to black, you can hear frantic voices from individuals inside the truck. There have been no confirmed casualties from the attack.

In response to the event, Sifuna claimed that the faction, which includes Siaya Governor James Orengo and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, will still travel to Kakamega for the planned rally.
This attack comes just a day after Sifuna cautioned against any turmoil by writing to the Kakamega OCPD and sending a notification to Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen via WhatsApp informing him of the planned rally.
He further stated that he had shared the notice on the Senate WhatsApp group, of which Murkomen was still a member.

“Since Murkomen remains on the senate WhatsApp group as a former senator, I have shared the notice of the notice for the Kakamega rally both in the group and directly to his personal WhatsApp number,” Sifuna stated.
“So he cannot later claim he was unaware of the event, as he did with the Kitengela rally.”
This response came after CS Murkomen claimed that he had not been notified of the upcoming Kitengela rally that was disrupted by the police, leading to the demise of two people and fifty more injured.
Murkomen went further and argued that the opposition chose a market day to attract people and also accused them of ferrying goons from Machakos, who he claimed were causing the chaos.
