Ruto Renames Nairobi’s Old Estate After Late MP Ng’eno
One of Nairobi’s oldest estates, Shauri Moyo, is set to be renamed in honour of the late Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ng’eno, President William Ruto has directed.
Speaking during the burial of the late Ng’eno on Friday, March 6, Ruto said the move was in recognition of the MP’s role in championing the affordable housing initiative.
According to the Head of State, the estate will be renamed Johana Ng’eno Boma Yangu Estate, in appreciation of the deceased lawmaker’s leadership and commitment to ensuring the success of the housing project.
“Because Johana Ng’eno was the chairman who ensured that we succeeded in the housing project, we have recommended that one of the biggest estates in Nairobi, called Shauri Moyo, be named after Johanna Ng’eno Boma Yangu Estate,” he announced.
