More Gulf Jobs As Kenya, Saudi Arabia Sign New Labour Deal
Kenya and Saudi Arabia have inked a new labour pact to increase work prospects for Kenyans.
This is one of the main consequences of Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Musalia Mudavadi’s official visit to the Gulf country.
The improved labour agreement was inked alongside numerous other bilateral agreements as the two countries sought to strengthen economic cooperation and political connections.
According to Mudavadi, the agreement is intended to increase employment prospects for Kenyans seeking work in Saudi Arabia while also bolstering the country’s labor migration policy.
The labour deal was among several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) signed during the visit, which also covered investment promotion and cultural cooperation.
Kenya also signed a partnership between the Kenya Development Corporation (KDC) and the Saudi Export-Import (EXIM) Bank to promote exports, investment, and knowledge exchange.
