Man On The Run After Killing Pregnant Student In Suspected Love Triangle
A first-year female student at a National Polytechnic in Homa Bay County was savagely stabbed and killed by her claimed boyfriend, a fellow student, in what authorities believe was a love triangle gone bad.
The woman, a 20-year-old land survey student, was allegedly attacked at her hostel on Saturday morning, February 1.
Authorities confirmed that she was pregnant at the time of the attack.
According to preliminary investigations, she was stabbed in the abdomen with a kitchen knife, causing the death of her unborn child.
According to police, the suspect, who is also a student at the university, fled the scene and is currently on the run.

Investigators believe the victim was last seen in her hostel on Friday evening when the suspect paid her a visit just hours before the horrific occurrence.
The two are alleged to have spent the night together before a commotion was heard in their room at 5 a.m. on Saturday.
The girl was discovered bleeding and pleading for rescue.
According to investigators, the student died at the hospital after being transported there with an abdominal wound.
Rachuonyo North authorities Commander Lydia Parteyie stated that authorities are looking for the suspect to question.
She asked the suspect to submit to authorities for questioning and processing.

The woman’s body was transported to a nearby mortuary pending an autopsy.
Meanwhile, authorities are looking into an incident in which a 27-year-old man was stabbed to death by a Teachers Training College (TTC) student following a fight over a form four female student.
Police say the crime occurred in Ongogo Tir village. The man died while being rushed to Homabay Referral Hospital.
Police claimed the guy was apprehended and detained at the Mbita police station. The remains were kept at a local mortuary pending an autopsy.
