52-Year-Old Man’s Body Found In A Thicket As Police Begin Investigation

Police in Embu County have initiated an investigation after the body of a middle-aged man was discovered abandoned in a bush near Kiriari Riamaciri Village in Ngandori West.

Kenneth Muchagi Njiru, 52, lived in the neighboring village of Riamaciri.

His body was discovered on Thursday, February 6, along a route that villagers commonly use to traverse their farms on their way home from Kathangari Shopping Center.

According to locals, Muchagi was killed on Wednesday night and his body was thrown in a remote location. The killer’s motive is unknown.

Danshon Njiru, the deceased’s father, expressed shock and anguish over his son’s death and urged authorities to conduct a thorough investigation to find those responsible for the murder.

“My son was last seen alive and happy. I never imagined that just hours later, I would be called to identify his lifeless body on a farm,” Njiru said.

Friends and family who gathered at the scene described Muchagi as a gentle and caring individual who got along with everyone in the area.

“He was a friendly man. It’s heartbreaking to see his life end this way,” said one of the neighbours.

According to reports, Muchagi was last seen on Wednesday evening mingling with friends at a pub in Kathangari Trading Centre.

Officers from the Kangaru Police Station responded to the location and transported the deceased to the Embu Level Five Hospital mortuary for autopsy and further investigation.
