Governor Natembeya Hits Out At Raila Over Unwarranted Ruto Alliance
Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya accused Raila Odinga of manipulating his supporters for personal advantage rather than sticking up for the people.
This follows The former Prime Minister’s political coalition with President William Ruto at the expense of his supporters.
Speaking in Trans Nzoia while giving free seeds to small-scale farmers in Sikhendu, he declared that he will be Kenyans’ voice against the government, especially now that the opposition has been crippled.
Natembeya also stated that he had taken it upon himself to speak on behalf of Kenyans and will continue to challenge the government on matters that impact the people.
“I have decided to offer myself to speak on behalf of Kenyans and I will not fear because it is the right thing to do. We have serious cross-cutting issues affecting Kenyans,” he stated.
He criticized the Kenya Kwanza regime, stating that he was aware of a plot to quiet him, but he refused to back down.

“I know these people will come for me, but I am not afraid. I will continue to speak out on critical issues affecting Kenyans, and in doing so, I am not disrespecting the president,” he said.
Natembeya also condemned the Ruto-Raila Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) accord as a misplaced priority.
He cautioned that the country was going in the wrong direction, referring to the broad-based government accord as “a business for a few people in power.”
He also dubbed Raila a political liar, accusing him of manipulating Kenyans’ support to further his own personal interests in each election cycle.

He made it clear that his criticism of the administration was not intended to undermine the presidency, but to keep leaders accountable.
“I respect the president, and he even knows that. But what I am doing is just speaking for the people and highlighting the poor leadership in the country. This does not mean that I am undermining the presidency,” he clarified.
