Ruto Appoints Chipukeezy For Coveted Presidential Office Position
On Wednesday, March 26, popular media personality Chipukeezy, originally known as Vincent Mwasia Mutua, was appointed Assistant Director of Protocol and Events in the Presidential Office.
Dennis Itumbi, the Head of Presidential Special Projects and Creative Economy, announced the new development and wished him well in his new post.
“Congratulations, Chipukeezy, on your appointment as Assistant Director, Protocol and Events in the Executive Office of the President!” Itumbi stated.

The most recent appointment symbolizes Chipukeezy’s return to government.
Former President Uhuru Kenyatta nominated him to the position of director of the National Authority for the Campaign Against Drug Abuse (NACADA) in 2018, and he was later elected Vice Chairperson in 2021.
Chipukeezy’s new responsibilities include arranging official ceremonies, state functions, and diplomatic procedures.
Chipukeezy’s New Responsibilities
His responsibilities will include protocol management, event planning and coordination, communication with government agencies and diplomats, speech and briefing preparation, public relations, and media coordination.
In terms of protocol management, Chipukeezy will be in charge of ensuring that diplomatic protocols for state functions are followed properly, as well as arranging reception and accreditation.
He will also manage the welcoming of foreign guests and advise government officials on protocol and procedures.
Chipukeezy will plan and coordinate national events, including as public holidays, summits, and official banquets.
He will also plan logistics for presidential trips, both domestic and international, and manage VIP security arrangements in coordination with relevant agencies.
Chipukeezy will collaborate with ministries, foreign embassies, and international organizations on diplomatic activities to maintain connections with government departments and diplomats.
His responsibilities will include promoting communication between the presidency and other government offices about important events.

The media personality will play an important role in creating event briefings and ensuring the President’s speeches adhere to diplomatic procedures.
He will also oversee proper seating arrangements and order of precedence at official events.
Chipukeezy will be in charge of public relations and media coordination at state functions, as well as press coverage.
This is in addition to managing communications for formal events and announcements.
