Super Metro Speaks Out After Bus Accident On Thika Road
According to the firm, a Super Metro bus was engaged in a road collision on Thika Road near Jomoko on Saturday morning.
The Sacco stated that the incident occurred when the bus, registration number KDL 360F, swerved to avoid colliding with a saloon car and fell in a ditch.

Fortunately, the bus company reported no injuries or casualties.
“Preliminary information indicates that the accident was caused by a white saloon car, which was reportedly overloaded with jerrycans of Muratina and was swerving carelessly across the road, as observed by multiple drivers in the vicinity,” the company said.
“The saloon car collided with the side of the Super Metro bus, forcing the bus driver to take evasive action. Unfortunately, while attempting to avoid further collision, the bus veered off the road and landed in a ditch.”
Super Metro Sacco stated that authorities from Thika Police Station are currently managing the case and doing more investigations into the occurrence.
The company has informed the public that it is committed to road safety and would fully cooperate with authorities.
It expressed gratitude to the people for their continuing support and asked individuals seeking official information to contact the police.

The incident occurred just one day after the National Police Service issued a warning, promising strong action against motorists discovered to have engaged in risky and irresponsible driving as schools closed for the April Easter break.
Police spokeswoman Muchiri Nyaga said on Friday that public transport operators and other motorists who endanger Kenyans’ lives through irresponsible behavior will face harsh punishments, including the suspension of operating licenses.
“We are aware that the Easter holiday is fast approaching with a resultant increased movement and heavy traffic expected on our roads across the country alongside the imminent closure of schools for the holidays,” he noted.
“Drivers of Public Service Vehicles (PSVs) are reminded to be extremely conscious of their duty while ferrying the students at this time,” he said.
