‘Read The Bible!’ – Ruto Tells Critics Of His Raila Partnership

President William Ruto has criticised leaders who reject his ties with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

Ruto stated that his solidarity with Raila is for the welfare of the country, not for any individual.

“Kenya Kwanza has not united with some parties from Azimio for the gains of individuals but for the good of the country,” he explained.

The President expressed sadness that certain leaders regard Kenya Kwanza’s unification with ODM as a betrayal of Kenyans as a whole.

Addressing the faithful during an Easter Sunday service in Ntulele, Narok County, the President noted that the Bible makes it plain that nothing is impossible when people work together.

“We must be united as a country because there is strength in unity. Those who are not God-fearing are saying unity is betrayal; how shameful, how tragic,” he said.

“The Bible says there is nothing impossible for those who are united. The devil has a different message against unity in our nation.”

Ruto advised leaders discussing betrayal to read the Holy Scripture.

“I am happy and I want to profess that Kenya is going to continue to be a God-fearing nation,” he added.

“Those talking about betrayal, we want to tell them to read the Bible, which says, Where there is unity, God commands a blessing.”

The President stated that he is determined to unite the country with the assistance of Raila.

“We are working hard to unite the people of Kenya and that is why I am happy that my friend Raila Odinga and our parties are working together because in there, God will truly bless our nation,” he added.

“We are unapologetic, unashamed about uniting the people because we know we can go far, we can achieve more.”

Defence Cabinet Secretary Soipan Tutu, Kajiado Governor Joseph Ole Lenku and his Narok counterpart Patrick Ole Ntutu, and Narok Senator Ledama Olekina were present during the service.
