While describing him as a brother and a leader, Marangu stated that Munuve’s political legacy would live on in the hearts of many.
“Deeply saddened by the loss of my brother and colleague, Hon. Joel Manuve. A selfless leader who served Kariobangi North with passion and humility,” Maragu commented.
He added, “His impact will live on in the hearts of many. A great soul never dies. It brings us together again and again. May his soul find eternal peace.”
His death occurred just a month after he made claims against Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja about the Dishi na County feeding program.

In a press conference on March 21, the politician claimed that the Nairobi County government was losing billions of dollars due to the contentious feeding program.
During his statement, the MCA committed to collecting signatures and advocating for Governor Sakaja’s impeachment due to what he called incompetence.
“We need to impeach the governor; we want a forensic audit to be done. What has he done with the money that he claims he collects every day? Because how can one person buy 17 vehicles?” Munuve alleged.
Meanwhile, Munuve joins a litany of lawmakers who have died since the beginning of the year.
