NDIANGUI: Missing Activist Found, Willing To Appear In Court
Ndiangui Kinyagia, the missing IT expert and activist, is apparently alive and well, according to his family lawyer.
According to his family lawyer, Wahome Thuku, the activist who has been missing for more than ten days is hiding in a secret place out of fear for his life.
The lawyer stated in a Facebook post on Thursday, July 3, that Ndiangui had contacted a family member on Tuesday evening to ensure his health.
“I wish to inform Kenyans that Mr Ndiangui, who went missing last week has contacted the family and that he is well, healthy and safe,” Thuku stated.
“Ndiangui contacted a family member on Tuesday evening from an undisclosed location.”

The lawyer revealed that Ndiangui went into hiding for fear of his life after learning that investigators from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) were chasing him on unspecified criminal charges.
According to Thuku, the activist was willing to appear in court today if his safety and protection were assured.
Coincidentally, DCI boss Mohammed Amin was scheduled to appear before Justice Chacha Mwita at the Milimani Law Courts today.
“We have therefore advised him to present himself before the High Court at Milimani Law Courts today, Thursday the 3rd July 2025 at 11am,” the lawyer noted.

Justice Chacha Mwita had ordered the DCI boss and Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja, who failed to appear in court on Tuesday, July 1, to appear and provide information on Kinyagia’s whereabouts, who went missing on Saturday, June 21.
Prior to the most recent development, the DCI was blamed for Ndiangui’s disappearance on Saturday, June 21.
The activist went missing on the same day that persons suspected to be DCI investigators were seen storming his home in Kiambu County.
The raid occurred after Ndiangui issued a ‘timetable’ outlining the agenda for the June 25 protests.
The ‘timetable’ featured notable events such as a march to the State House and the proclaiming of a new republic.
