‘We Don’t Know Where He Is!’ – CS Ogamba Admits Alliance Girls’ Paedo Teacher At Large
The whereabouts of the Alliance High School teacher who was recently accused of grooming remain unknown, according to Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba.
Ogamba made the announcement during a function on Wednesday, July 23, and stated that internal and external investigations had been launched to determine all of the facts surrounding the case.
“We are working closely with police. As a government, we have a strict policy of no grooming and no inappropriate advances towards students,” Ogamba said.
“If we find any teacher involved, male or female, legal action will be taken.”
Earlier in July, a report from an investigation uncovered unsettling allegations about the male teacher.

According to the report, former and present pupils accused the long-time instructor who ran the Christian Union of inappropriate behavior that allegedly stretched outside the school.
According to Africa Uncensored, the teacher utilized his position to develop strong ties with vulnerable girls, which resulted in nonconsensual physical interactions.
Ogamba stated on Wednesday that after the incident went viral, the Ministry’s field officers have been deployed in schools to work with Boards of Management (BOMs) and school principals to identify any other individuals who may be implicated and enforce accountability.
The CS emphasized the government’s zero-tolerance policy regarding types of misbehavior in schools.
“We’ve told our officers to go into the schools and work with headteachers and boards to ensure that anyone implicated faces the full force of the law.”

Ogamba’s remark came days after women’s groups, notably The Federation of Women Lawyers in Kenya (FIDA-Kenya), urged the government to prosecute everyone involved in aiding the rogue teacher’s acts.
“The Ministry must also implement institutional mechanisms for students to report malpractice without fear of retaliation,” FIDA stated.
“Finally, the Ministry must provide clear and enforceable measures to ensure the safety and dignity of all learners.”

Aside from the Alliance High School event, Ogamba addressed the recent trend of strikes in high schools with a directive to school principals.
“Normally when exams are around the corner, some unrest arises,” Ogamba noted.
“But we have advised our headteachers and field officers to work with the students, listen to them, and encourage them so that they don’t panic and can proceed with their exams.”
The most recent incidence of unrest saw Nakuru Girls High School closed indefinitely on Wednesday, as students protested exam scheduling.
