Health Ministry Driver Drugged, Robbed off Gov’t Car
Police are looking into the theft of a four-wheel-drive car belonging to the Ministry of Health in Kilgoris, Narok County.
The vehicle’s driver said it was carrying various substances at the time of the theft, which occurred on Thursday.
According to the police, the driver had parked outside a bar in Kilgoris Town and gone for a drink before being joined by a stranger with whom he shared brief moments.
According to authorities, the driver was then drugged and led to the car by a man who asked him to drop him off at his apartment in town.
The driver lost consciousness before arriving at Kipkebe Tea Plantation in Sotik, Bomet County, over 200 km away.
When he was located the next day, his automobile and personal belongings had gone missing.
He was discovered bound with both wrists and legs and escorted to the local police station, where he filed a report, authorities said.

The driver was then transported to the hospital for treatment while under investigation.
A gang broke into a home in Naiberi, Eldoret, and stole several pieces of jewellery, Sh100,000, a laptop, and other valuables.
The event occurred on November 8 while the family was in a mosque. Police stated the group arrived in a Toyota Prado with five members.
