“Eastleigh Belongs To The Somali!” – Duale Tells Matiang’i
Health Cabinet Secretary (CS) Aden Duale has chastised former Interior CS and presidential candidate Fred Matiang’i.
Duale has accused Matiang’i of impunity, corruption, and extrajudicial killings throughout his time in office.
He said that Matiang’i oversaw widespread abuse of power while working in former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Cabinet.
He was speaking at the Narok Muslim Academy during a prize-giving ceremony for madrassa students on Saturday.
He said that extrajudicial executions and abuse of authority occurred during Matiangi’s term, and urged the former CS to avoid criticizing President William Ruto’s administration.

“Fred Matiangi is the face of impunity in Kenya. If anyone has committed impunity, Kenya is Fred Matiang’i. And he is the last person to critique the government of William Ruto,” Duale alleged.
Duale cautioned opposition leaders against constant criticism of the Kenya Kwanza administration, claiming that the government has given genuine development to Kenyans.
“The opposition keeps saying Ruto wantam, Ruto must go. Ruto has built the roads, 28 million Kenyans have registered for the Social Health Authority, and he has created a stable health care,” he stated.
The Health CS also refuted former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s comments about controlling Nairobi’s economy, stating that the city’s economic sector is shared by various communities.

He pointed out that the Somali community owns a large number of enterprises in the capital and advised against divisive political themes.
“We will not allow opposition to taint the President or any community. Eastleigh contributes more than 40% to the economy of Kenya, and it belongs to the Somali.”
Narok Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu, County Commissioner Kipkech Lotiata, and other officials attended the ceremony.
They advocated for community togetherness and peaceful cooperation, asking locals to avoid divisive politics and instead focus on development.
