Morning Accident Leaves 4 Dead, Several Injured Along Bomet-Narok Highway
Four people have been confirmed dead while several others sustained injuries following a tragic road accident at the Tegero area along the Narok-Bomet highway.
While confirming the accident, Narok Police Commander Patrick Lobolia said the crash involved two vehicles, a lorry that was travelling from Bomet towards Narok and a saloon car heading in the opposite direction.
Preliminary reports indicate that the accident occurred after the lorry veered off its lane upon reaching the scene, resulting in a head-on collision with the oncoming saloon car.
The impact of the crash was severe, leading to the immediate death of four at the scene and prompting a swift rescue operation from first responders.
Several other occupants from both vehicles sustained injuries, although the exact number of those affected has not yet been confirmed.

Following the crash, the bodies of the deceased were moved to the mortuary at Narok County Referral Hospital, while the injured were rushed to various health facilities within the region.
Police have since launched investigations into the cause of the accident, even as they urged motorists to exercise caution and adhere to traffic rules to prevent similar tragedies on the roads.
Images of the accident shared online showed the saloon car extensively damaged, with the truck sustaining damage mainly on its front side.

The latest incident adds to the number of crashes recorded along the route, particularly along the Narok-Bomet and the Narok-Mai Mahiu highways.
It comes just a week after eight people were killed following a grisly road accident in the Nairegia area along the busy Narok-Mai Mahiu road.
The accident occurred on April 26, involving a truck and a van at around 5.30pm when both vehicles were heading in opposite directions.
According to the police, the truck was heading from Narok towards Mai Mahiu when the driver lost control of the vehicle upon reaching the accident scene, resulting in the collision.
The driver of the truck sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Narok Teaching and Referral Hospital, where the bodies of the deceased were also taken.
