Images published online show the Climax Coach bus plunging to the side of the road, with several injured individuals lying on the ground.
According to additional sources, the accident occurred on the major Nakuru-Eldoret Highway at Mau Summit, Chepsir, in Kericho County, a critical transportation corridor that connects the Rift Valley.

Bystanders on the roadside are desperately attempting to help the injured, despite the fact that no police officials or emergency medical staff appear to have come.
The cause of the accident remains unclear, although the absence of any other vehicles at the scene effectively rules out a head-on collision.
According to witnesses, the bus lost control before rolling several times at Chepsir.
As of the time of the publication of this article, no deaths have been confirmed by the relevant authorities from the incident.
Climax Coaches has been in the headlines for some time over accidents. Last year alone, four major accidents involving the bus company rocked the nation.
In December last year, the bus company made headlines when a Nairobi-to-Busia Climax bus was involved in a fatal head-on collision at Karai, Naivasha.
The crash claimed the life of former Lugari Member of Parliament Cyrus Jirongo after his vehicle entered the highway.

In May the same year, at least 20 passengers were injured and rushed to local hospitals when a Nairobi-bound Climax coach overturned at the Kimende blackspot on the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway.
The same month, a Nairobi-bound Climax bus travelling from Busia veered off the road and plunged into a ditch in the Awasi area, along the Nairobi-Kisumu Highway, leaving multiple passengers injured.
This accident adds to the growing list of crashes this year, with January this year alone recording 854 road accidents.
It resulted in 2,032 victims and claimed the lives of at least 398 Kenyans, according to the NTSA and NPS data.
