Speeding Vehicle Kills THREE, Including A Student & Several Others Injured
An awful accident occurred last night at Kibirigwi in Kirinyaga County on the Kenol-Marua dual road, leaving a trail of shock and anguish in its wake.
According to reports, one student and two other adults perished on the scene, while several others were seriously injured in the horrible incident.
Concerned citizens gathered at the site and took the injured to the nearest hospital for emergency treatment.
Witnesses said a speeding vehicle lost control and rammed into Kibirigwi Junior School students and several parents, causing uproar as furious people blocked the main Sagana-Karatina route in protest.
This tragedy comes amid a worrying rise in road accidents reported across Kirinyaga County in recent weeks.

In a recent incident, two people died in Kirinyaga County following a fuel tanker explosion along the River Sagana area, in a tragedy that disrupted transport along the busy Nairobi-Nyeri Highway.
The victims were reportedly inside or associated with the fuel tanker when it exploded under unclear circumstances on Thursday night.

The blast killed them on the spot, with the incident also causing major disruption along the highway as emergency teams responded.
During the incident, traffic remained gridlocked for more than an hour before officers from Sagana traffic police arrived to restore order and redirect motorists.
Even so, questions have also been raised over the response by traffic officers and emergency services.
Following the Kibirigwi crash, residents are now demanding improved road safety measures and justice for the victims, as tension and traffic disruption persist in the area.
Authorities have since been deployed to restore order and manage the scene, while motorists have been advised to use alternative routes as investigations into the accident continue.
