2 Children Killed As Fire Razes Down Three Umoja Neighbourhoods
At least two children were killed Thursday night in a fire in Nairobi’s Umoja Three neighborhood.
Police reported that more than 20 structures were destroyed in the incident.
The fire department, with the assistance of members of the public, was able to contain the spread of the fire minutes later, when they discovered the bodies of a boy and a girl in the room.
Their house was one of those affected by the fire. Police said they have yet to determine the cause of the fire.

Locals said it began with one of the affected structures and quickly spread to the others, flattening them.
Police reported that property of unknown value was destroyed.
The bodies were taken to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other investigations.
In Parklands, Nairobi, a fire broke out at Ribeiro Parklands Boys Boarding Secondary School, destroying a dormitory.
Police said investigators determined the fire started in Marsabit 3 Dormitory, which housed 30 students.
Officials from the Nairobi County Fire Brigade responded and extinguished the fire.
Several valuables belonging to the students were destroyed during the incident.
Police said no injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is unknown. Police said they are looking into the incidents.
