‘I Can’t Engage In Gossip’ – Sakaja Breaks Silence Impeachment Rumours
Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has dismissed allegations that he is the latest on the chopping block, calling them empty talk with no basis.
The Governor strongly denied the allegations during the launch of Phase 3 of the ‘Dishi Na County School Feeding Program’ at Umoja 1 Primary School.
He preempted rumours on the internet that a group of MCAs was preparing to impeach him.
Sakaja affirmed that his administration will not be derailed, promising to continue serving Nairobi residents.
“We will not be distracted by naysayers. Our focus is on delivering what we promised,” he emphasised.

He also used the opportunity to discuss the progress his administration has made, including the successful launch of 17 kitchens in 17 sub-counties.
Sakaja directed his executive team to ignore such speculations and focus solely on their service delivery mandate.
“We have a mandate and we don’t have time for rumours. Our priority is to work for our people, not to engage in gossip,” Sakaja affirmed.
The Nairobi Governor also denied being ejected from President William Ruto’s delegation to China.
To clarify the situation, he confirmed that he was not among the dignitaries in the president’s entourage and that he was already committed to launching projects in Nairobi.
“Which plane are people talking about? I was supposed to be in Umoja today, not in China. Those are just rumours,” Sakaja joked.
Commenting on recent political developments, the Governor praised President Ruto for enlisting the opposition.
“Many were skeptical about my decision to work with the opposition, but now it’s clear that we have a national government of inclusivity that will deliver. We fully support that,” he asserted.
