Student Injured After Plane Crashed Into Nairobi National Park
An aviation student was injured on Thursday when an aircraft operated by the West Rift Aviation School crashed into the Nairobi National Park.
Following the accident, a rescue team was immediately dispatched to the scene and assisted in the recovery of those trapped beneath the wreckage.
While confirming the incident, a Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) official revealed that the aircraft carrying two people left one of them with injuries.
According to KCAA officials, the injured student was taken to the nearest hospital for treatment.
Even as investigations began, the cause of the accident remained unknown.
Photos from the crash site, shared on social media, showed a small smashed-up plane lying in the tall grass of Nairobi National Park.

This is not the first time that a similar accident has occurred in Kenya.
In a similar incident in March of this year, a student pilot and instructor died when their plane collided with a passenger plane carrying 44 people.
The two planes collided in Nairobi airspace, with one of them crash-landing inside Nairobi National Park.
While confirming the report, KCAA stated that the passenger plane, bound for Diani in Mombasa, had just taken off when it heard a loud bang.
On its way to the coastal hotel, the passenger plane collided with the aircraft ferrying the two individuals.
