‘Please Stop!’ – Babu Owino Urges Kenyans After Sending Him Overwhelming Cash Gifts

Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino is overjoyed after Kenyans flooded his Mpesa account with money as a birthday gift.

On Thursday, October 10, 2024, the vocal MP, who is celebrating his 35th birthday, announced on his official social media accounts that he had received Ksh370,000 as a birthday present from Kenyans.

Babu Owino thanked Kenyans for their kind gesture and urged them to stop sending him money and instead save it for future use, noting that he understands the country is currently experiencing a severe economic crisis.

“A big thank you to all Kenyans who are sending me Mpesa for my Birthday today. We are at 370K so far I suggest you stop please,hiyo pesa wacha ikushikilie mahali for I really feel what you are going through as a Kenyan. God bless you all,” Babu Owino wrote.

Aside from the monetary birthday present, the young parliamentarian has received heartfelt messages.

His wife, Fridah Ongili, led Kenyans in celebrating the vocal legislator as he turns one year old.

“Happy birthday my love May this be your best year yet filled with perfect happiness, pure joy and unlimited blessings and favour,” Fridah Ongili wrote while wishing him a happy birthday.
