EXTRAVAGANCE! Rachel Ruto Steps Out In a Ksh2M Rolex
First Lady Rachel Ruto is turning heads and raising eyebrows with her latest fashion statement – a stunning Rolex Datejust 41, which costs between Ksh2 million and Ksh4 million.
Rachel was spotted wearing the luxurious timepiece on Friday, October 11, at the First Lady’s Mazingira Awards at Nairobi National Park, while using binoculars.
The appearance is part of a larger trend among Kenya’s political elite, who are known for their extravagant tastes.
While President William Ruto has frequently made headlines for his luxury items, this time it’s his wife who is attracting attention.
Our research confirms that Rachel wore the Oyster Perpetual Datejust 41 which costs around Ksh2 million.
The luxury timepiece is an icon in its own right, with a thickness of 12 mm and a “lug to lug” length of 47.5 mm.

Its sapphire crystal dial, complete with the famous Cyclops lens, adds an air of sophistication. The watch is waterproof up to 150 metres and has a power reserve of 70 hours.
Rachel Ruto’s new accessory is reminiscent of her husband, President William Ruto, who has garnered attention for his own extravagant tastes.
Over the last two years, the President has frequently been spotted wearing designer items that have left Kenyans in disbelief.
From expensive watches to luxury shoes, his preference for high-end brands exemplifies a lifestyle that many admire but question in light of the country’s pressing economic challenges.
During a January event in Makutano, Meru County, the President was spotted wearing a Ksh8,746,200 Bvlgari Octo Finissimo watch.
