‘Daughter Of The Mountain!’ – Gachagua Hosts NCIC Vice Chair For Leadership Guidance

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua convened a meeting on Monday with National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) Vice Chairperson Wambui Nyutu.

In a post on X, Gachagua stated that Nyutu visited him at his home to seek advice and mentorship on her “path to leadership.”

Gachagua stated that the meeting’s discussions focused on leadership.

“I was happy to receive the gracious young lady and a daughter of the Mountain,” he said.

The former DP stated that the encounter was also an opportunity to mentor Nyutu on his road to leadership.

“I have taken her through the rigours of leadership and guided her on the fact that public service is a calling and selfless,” he said.

Gachagua praised Nyutu’s zeal, dedication, and in-depth knowledge of people-related concerns.

“I’m especially impressed by her sense of purpose and her great desire to offer servant leadership to the great people of Murang’a,” he wrote.

Nyutu has been a commissioner at the NCIC since 2019.

Prior to her appointment, she was a director at the National Irrigation Board of Kenya since 2018.

She also worked as a Legal Assistant at Kiragu Wathuta & Co Advocates in 2017 and as a Legal Secretary at Peman Consultants between 2016 and 2019.

Nyutu, an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, has a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi, a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Nairobi.

In 2015, she was the Legal Secretary of the Kenya University Students Organisation and a special delegate to the Nairobi University Students Organisation.

His Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta, Kenya’s fourth president, bestowed the Order of Grand Warrior (OGW) on Nyutu in 2018.
