EXPLAINED: Why the Kenyan eTA is by far different from VISA
I am afraid eTA is not the same as Visa Free.
Visa Free announcement by H.E. The President was certainly a good move and it is still a good move.
Visa Free simply means – “Book your flight and come to Kenya and you’ll be allowed entry unless your details have been flagged “
Well, I am afraid eTA is NOT Visa-free and looking at the myriad of questions that potential visitor to Kenya has to answer is making it even more difficult.
I am taking the liberty to share what Visa-free means for select nationals who wish to visit Morocco. Just book your ticket and show up at check-in and head to boarding.
My recent travel to Uganda, Rwanda is Visa free so was to Ethiopia so sorry eTA is NOT Visa free, far from it.
As of now, many countries that enjoy Visa-free are now being forced to apply for eTA since they fall outside the EAC. I am sharing a few comments from various platforms.
While I am certain a review will be made we should learn to get things right from the word go. It is said if you have 9 hours to chop a tree spend 8 hours sharpening your axe.
You cannot spend 3 hours sharpening the axe and wonder why you are on-site for days.
Well, we must sort out this system by Monday 8 Jan close of business least it causes more damage to tourism that was beginning to recover.
As always I choose to remain an optimist that corrective measures must be taken urgently.
