KEMSA And Two Other Agencies Advertise Vacancy Jobs and How To Apply

On Tuesday, the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) announced an opening for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), inviting qualified candidates to apply.

This announcement, published on Tuesday, May 21, in the MyGov newspaper, seeks a candidate to lead the government’s medical supply organization.

According to the notification, the new CEO will be contracted for a four-year term that can be renewed based on performance reviews.

The CEO will report directly to the Board of Directors and be in charge of the overall leadership and administration of KEMSA’s activities.

This involves critical responsibilities like budget allocation, strategic planning, and team management.

The CEO’s mission includes overseeing all aspects of strategic, operational, and financial management within KEMSA, as directed by the Board of Directors.

The notice stressed the necessity of establishing and implementing a bold plan to inspire commitment across the authority, in line with KEMSA’s core objective.

KEMSA has set high academic and professional qualification requirements for potential recruits.

A Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Business Management, or Finance from a reputable university is required.

Furthermore, a postgraduate degree in relevant subjects, as well as extensive senior management experience, is required, particularly in the health or supply chain sectors.

Furthermore, the ideal applicant must have at least five years of experience managing various donor-funded projects or strategic collaborations.

Certification in Strategic Leadership and Corporate Governance, as well as participation in appropriate professional organizations, are also required.

Technical competencies required by the CEO include expertise in strategy and corporate planning, financial management, and supply chain management.

Behavioral characteristics such as strong leadership, strategic thinking, and good communication skills are also considered essential.

Prospective applicants must receive a variety of clearance certificates, including police clearance from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) and tax compliance certification from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), among others.

Interested persons who match the mentioned conditions are encouraged to submit their applications by 5 p.m. on June 1, 2024.

Meanwhile, the Bandari Maritime Academy is looking for two coxswains and a trainer in nautical science.
