Langata-Based Police Officer’s Body Found On The Roadside With Stabbed Wounds
On Friday, a police officer from Lang’ata Police Station was discovered lying in a pool of blood on the side of the road in Nairobi.
According to a police report obtained by AfricasNow, two private guards at Ngei Phase II on Kitengela Lane discovered a male adult unconscious on the roadside.
After investigating the body, the two guards identified the deceased as Corporal Mark Ayabei from the Lang’ata Police Station.
His body was discovered lying in a pool of blood, and further examination revealed two stab wounds on his chest.
Crime Scene and Investigations (CSI) officers assigned to Lang’ata rushed to the scene to investigate and determine what happened.
Ayabei’s body was transferred to Umash Funeral Home for a postmortem examination.
Since then, officers have launched investigations to determine who committed the murder and why.
According to the most recent government data, approximately 100 police officers have died in the last two years.
According to police records, the vast majority of deaths are the result of bandit attacks. Others include robbers and colleagues.
