Controversial City Lawyer Acquits Himself From Murder Case Involving Police Officer
Lawyer Danstan Omari, who had been representing Bernard Ndege, an administration police constable accused of the heinous murder of his wife Fenny Bosibor five years ago, has withdrawn from the case.
Omari informed Eldoret Presiding Judge Reuben Nyakundi that he was no longer interested in representing the murder suspect, citing personal reasons.
The seasoned lawyer’s decision to withdraw from Ndege’s murder trial will force the court to find another legal representative for the accused person.

This follows the Judge’s decision to cancel the Ksh. 500,000 cash bail granted to the accused three years ago.
This occurred after he failed to appear in court more than three times during the trial of his murder case.
Following his application for release from the GK remand prison, the Judge granted him a Ksh.1 million bond or Ksh.500,000 cash bail.
Justice Nyakundi took the action after being informed by prosecutor Mark Mugun that Ndege was being held in police custody at the Kisii police station for a livestock theft.
The Judge issued a production order directing Ndege to be transported to Eldoret GK remand, where he will be held until his murder case is heard and decided by his court.
Ndege, who is under arrest, is accused of killing his wife with 11 bullets on the night of March 9, 2019, at their Baharini police line house in Turbo Sub County, Uasin Gishu County.
According to court documents, the officer shot his wife several times in the head and stomach, killing her on the spot with his assigned AK 47 rifle after a domestic dispute at their home.
The couple’s 12-year-old son told the investigating officer that he was eating supper with his mother when his father arrived and shot her.
Justice Nyakundi ruled that the case be brought before him on July 30 to confirm whether proceedings from both the defense and prosecution have been typed before giving further direction.
