Three Foreigners Among 4 Killed In A Collision Along The Narok-Mulot Road

On Monday, four people were killed in a head-on collision near Katakala on the Narok-Mulot road.

According to a police report filed at the Narok police station, the accident occurred on Monday afternoon between a trailer and a Toyota Landcruiser owned by Dalloky Magnifiques Tours Safaris and driven by an unknown driver.

According to police officers familiar with the incident, the Landcruiser overtook incorrectly and collided with an approaching trailer.

All four occupants of the Landcruiser, including three foreigners and the driver, died on the scene, while the trailer driver suffered minor injuries to both legs.

“Both vehicles landed on the left side of the road as one faces Narok’s direction,” the police report records in part.

“The Toyota Land cruiser was extensively damaged.”

Meanwhile, the deceased’s bodies have been moved to the Narok County Hospital mortuary pending autopsies.

This comes days after a recent road accident in Kajiado County that killed three other Chinese tourists.

In a statement, Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary Korir Sing’Oei revealed that the accident also left several other tourists of Chinese descent critically injured.

Following the incident, China’s ambassador to Kenya, Zhou Pingjian, paid a visit to the injured.

Police Spokesperson Resila Onyango stated that the trio tragically died when the van they were travelling in overturned on the Oloitoktok-Emali Road.
