Ruto Reveals Why Working With The Opposition Was The Only Option
President William Ruto has emphasized the importance of involving opposition leaders in his government, stating that it is critical to the country’s unity.
Ruto, who was speaking to residents of Kobujoi in Aldai, Nandi, stated that Kenya was in an exceptional situation that required putting aside personal or political interests.
“There comes a time in the life of a nation when the unity of the nation, the progress of Kenya, the transformation of our nation is much more important than any other political persuasion, political sides, political formation or any community interests,” he said.
Ruto was joined by several leaders, including Energy Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi and her Lands counterpart, Alice Wahome.

Governors Stephen Sang (Nandi) and James Orengo (Kisumu), as well as several Members of Parliament, were in attendance.
The president emphasized that for the country to transform, all leaders and Kenyans, regardless of political affiliation, must work together.
He was in the county to oversee the construction of the Kobujoi market. It is scheduled for commissioning in December.
Earlier, the president launched a last-mile connectivity project in Kesogon, which will serve 6,000 homes.
The government, he claimed, has allocated Sh330 million to the constituency for the program.
At the same time, Ruto announced that Sh1 billion has been released to New KCC for the purchase of milk from farmers.
He stated that beginning next month, farmers will receive Sh50 for each litre of milk delivered.
