‘I am Coming For You!’ – Fired Up Wanjigi Blasts Ruto Accusing Him Of Abductions And Killings
On Tuesday, September 3, Safina Party Leader Jimi Wanjigi opened fire on President William Ruto over the political abductions reported in the country during the height of the anti-government protests.
Addressing the press in Nairobi, Wanjigi, accompanied by his lawyer Willis Otieno and other leaders, urged Kenyans to rise up and demand accountability and justice for the country’s ongoing abductions.
The current state of our democracy is alarming as we face unprecedented constitutional delinquency from our highest office. A head of state is suggesting that the constitution no longer holds relevance, damaging the very foundation of our governance and justice. This disregard… pic.twitter.com/Pf0LGDTBNv

‘’I am sounding an alarm, we are on the edge of an abyss and moving speedily in the wrong direction, we must all wake up and demand the truth, accountability, and justice,’’ urged Wanjigi.
The Safina party leader claimed that the current administration, led by President William Ruto, was solely responsible for the abductions and killings.
‘’For the avoidance of doubt, the president is solely responsible for the abductions, enforced disappearances, and murdering of the young people of this country,’’ he alleged.

He went on to say that the alleged abductions, enforced disappearances, and extrajudicial killings in the country were part of the government’s strategy to instill fear among Kenyans.
The politician reminded the Inspector General of Police that the Constitution required him to operate independently while respecting human rights.
Wanjigi told the media that the president’s promise to crack down on abductions and disappearances was not serious, claiming that it was a mockery to the victims’ families.
‘’President Ruto is hypocritically mocking, laughing and demeaning the abducted whose loved ones are crying daily,’’ he stated.

Wanjigi reminded the president of the oath he took to serve the country with justice and in accordance with the law.
‘’Regrettably, today it can be confirmed that President Ruto has not only violated the constitution but also contravened the oath of office he took,’’ he added.
Wanjigi has been at odds with the current regime over the country’s management, particularly the administration’s fiscal policy, resulting in a police raid on his home on August 8, 2024.
