CS Ogamba’s Car Hits And Kills Boda Boda Rider While Leaving Hillside Endarasha Academy
A family is mourning the death of a boda boda rider who was struck by one of the vehicles in the company of Education Cabinet Secretary, Julius Ogamba Migos, on Saturday, September 7, in the Goshen area along Ichamara – Kiahungu Road.
The entourage was returning from Hillside Endarasha Academy in Nyeri, where government officials had paid condolences to the affected families. A fire at the school claimed the lives of 21 students.

The vehicle in which the official was travelling allegedly collided with a boda boda rider named Peterson Ngugi, who died on the spot.
The victim’s relative stated that the deceased was on his way home from a funeral with a friend.
The incident occurred in the evening, around 6 p.m. The vehicle struck the rider and dragged him several metres forward, causing fatal injuries.

According to an eyewitness, the vehicle attempted to speed away, but the victim was hanging beneath it, forcing the driver to stop.
The perpetrators reportedly stopped the friend, who was driving a separate vehicle, from taking a picture of the victim below the vehicle.

Police arrived quickly and transported the body to a mortuary in Mukurwe-Ini, but have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
The revelations resurfaced following a post by the eyewitness, who in emphatic messages urged relevant authorities to intervene.
“You wanted to run away but my brother hanged under your vehicle to ensure your identity is known,” the post read.
Earlier, a government team paid a visit to Nyeri’s Hillside Endarasha Academy to express condolences to the affected families and provide advance support to the school.
The deceased’s family has asked the appropriate authorities to intervene.
The accident follows a series of accidents over the weekend.
The most recent incident involved a bus carrying passengers that overturned on the Thika Superhighway.
