Residents of Nairobi and its suburbs have expressed concern about excessive noise levels from clubs and churches, which exceed legally acceptable limits.

Citizen TV’s investigative reporter investigates the situation, focusing on the Quiver Steak House in Milimani.

This establishment, a club located a few metres from the Military headquarters, the State House, and the County Commander of Nairobi Headquarters, has caused residents to lose sleep.

The lounge is usually packed, especially on weekends, as Kenyans party all night. Quiver Lounge is popular among both men and women, with revellers having a good time.

Peter Mbugua, a businessman, owns the stylish and exquisite lounge.

In April 2022, the entertainment venue hosted President William Ruto and other United Democratic Alliance (UDA) leaders during their campaigns.

Ruto, who was accompanied by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, and nominated Senator Karen Nyamu, savored some Nyama Choma.

It was one of the clubs facing closure due to noise pollution before an agreement was reached.

Mbugua has expanded his business to Kenol, Murang’a, where he has established a new branch.

A portion of the short video showed two priests performing the religious ritual outside Quiver Lounge.

However, event organizers stated that the clerics were blessing the newly opened Kilele Mall, which also houses Magunas Supermarket.

“As you’ve already been told, the mall in which Quiver Lounge sits was being dedicated to God as any business person would as he embarks on a new business challenge,” Mbugua said.

“While Quiver Lounge is a nightspot, it also enjoyed the blessings from the priests since it’s also part of the many businesses the Murang’a mall hosts.”
