11-Year-Old Boy Kills Himself In Kakamega, Police Investigation Underway
Investigations are ongoing after an 11-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide in Kakamega County.
Police said the incident occurred at their home in the Malaika area of the Lugari Constituency.
The minor’s family, led by Cornelius Mushila, stated that the boy’s body was discovered hanging from the roof in their bathroom.
According to reports, the boy left home three days ago for his uncle’s house and was flogged when he returned.
He is said to have left home without his parents’ consent.
The family has requested a thorough investigation into the incident to determine the cause of the boy’s death.
The deceased’s body was moved to a nearby mortuary.
Kericho Man Surrenders After Hacking Wife
Eland Estate in Kericho town has been plunged into mourning following a tragic domestic incident in which a 32-year-old man allegedly murdered his 30-year-old wife.
Cyrus Onkeo, the suspect, is accused of strangling his wife, Fridah Nyaboke, following a family disagreement on Saturday night.
According to the police report, the couple got into a fight, which escalated when Onkeo allegedly strangled Nyaboke before pushing her onto the bed.
The next morning, Onkeo noticed his wife hadn’t awoken, but assumed she was still upset from their fight the night before.
After several unsuccessful attempts to awaken his wife, Onkeo realized she had died.

He turned himself in at the Kericho Police Station and reported the incident.
Police officers arrived quickly and discovered the deceased lying on the bed with no visible injuries, despite blood oozing from her mouth.
The body was transported to the Kericho County Referral Hospital mortuary, where a postmortem examination is planned.
Onkeo remains in police custody and is expected to appear in court on charges stemming from the fatal incident.
