Kalonzo, Wanjigi Forced To Cancel Kitengela Rally After Massive Police Deployment Outside Church
Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka announced on Sunday that he had canceled two political rallies scheduled in Kitengela and Mlolongo towns.
The Wiper leader, while addressing a congregation at Glorious Gospel Center Church, stated that he and other leaders, including Jimi Wanjigi and Eugene Wamalwa, were denied access to AIC Kasina Church in Mlolongo for a service.
According to the Wiper leader, the police stopped them on their way to the church.
The leader was accompanied by Safina Party Leader Jimmi Wanjigi, Democratic Alliance Party (DAP K) leader Eugine Wamalwa, and Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni, among others.

Kalonzo, while referring to the incident, questioned why police had to deploy vehicles in Kitengela.
“No wonder the guilty are afraid, what is the reason for bringing in the police land rover outside here in Kitengela and Mlolongo? It is a shameful act,’’ he added.
He also asked the new Inspector General of Police, Douglas Kanja, to step in and address some of the recent accusations against the police.
“I want to appeal to the new Inspector General of Police, Douglas Kanja, to stand there and make a difference so that all of us can feel secure,’’ Kalonzo stated.
The wiper leader was forced to attend a church service at Kitengela’s Glorious Gospel Center Church.

While addressing the congregation, he also urged those who had viewed him as an opponent of the government to reconsider their position, claiming that he and his team were prepared to take over the government.
“Some are now labeling our opposition, I cannot be an opposition, and yet we are a team waiting to take over the government properly we are an alternative government,” Kalonzo urged.

Musyoka recently came out to defend embattled Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, citing a government system designed to frustrate the second-in-command.
He also appeared to support the Democratic Party’s call for Mt Kenya region unity, which has been criticized by some leaders close to President William Ruto.
