Governor Nassir Breaks Silence On Mombasa Blogger’s Sexual Assault Links
Mohamed Hussein, the CEC for Lands and Urban Planning at Mombasa Lands County, was arrested on Sunday in connection with a blogger’s gang rape.
In a press statement, Coast Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) chief Adan Guyo stated that the suspect is linked to the gang rape of a blogger who criticized Governor Abdulswamad Nassir.
Governor Abdulswamad Nassir, on the other hand, has cleared himself of any wrongdoing in the case, claiming that the allegations against him are politically motivated by his opponents.
“This time around, those of you abusing and criticising us, even implicating our parents, what we will do to you come 2027 we will not do it right now,” Governor Nassir stated.

“We will wait for 2027 and remind all the evils you have done to our people.”
According to the CEC’s kin, Mohamed Hussein was kidnapped by seven men while having lunch with a colleague at a Mombasa restaurant.
“In a series of unfortunate persecutory events over the past two weeks, this is another incident over the allegations levelled against the Governor of Mombasa and his supporters for no crime other than leading the people of Mombasa,” lamented kin to the CEC.

The development comes after four suspects were charged in Shanzu Court with rape and kidnapping of a Mombasa blogger, to which they denied the allegations.
It is claimed that the four committed the crime on September 12 at an unidentified location, along with others who had yet to be arrested.
The four suspects were charged with various offenses, including abduction with intent to confine.
Following allegations of sexual assault on the blogger, two of the four were charged with gang rape.

Governor Abdulswamad Nassir’s mother was also involved in the case. The police suspected Nassir’s mother of assisting some suspects in the case to flee.

According to court documents, the victim posted a video clip criticizing the Governor to his TikTok account in September.
Court evidence indicated that the video clip drew the attention of internet users, eliciting mixed reactions from some of them.
The police suspected that the video clip was the source of the gang rape.
