Suspect Who Transported Willis Ayieko’s Killers Detained For 30 Days
The latest suspect arrested in connection with the murder of Willis Ayieko, Human Resource Manager at Wells Fargo, will be held in police custody for another 30 days.
Charles Otieno Odhiambo, 21, was arraigned before Siaya Magistrate Margaret Wamabani, who granted the prosecution 30 days to complete its investigations.
Odhiambo, a boda boda operator, was arrested by police in Kisumu after being linked to the suspects accused of carrying out the heinous murder.
The prosecution, led by Evans Soita, asked the Magistrate’s Court to allow them to hold the suspect while the police and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) continue their investigation.

Magistrate Wambani granted the prayers and ordered the fifth suspect in the murder case to be remanded at Kisumu’s Railway Police Station.
She then directed that the suspect be subjected to a mental assessment test and that the investigating officers be given the opportunity to conduct a forensic examination on his two mobile phones.

Odhiambo is now in custody alongside two other suspects: Victor Ouma and a woman discovered inside the main suspect’s rented house in Sagam, Gem sub-county.
Two other suspects in the case have died so far: a woman who was shot during a gunfight with police and Robert Wakolo, who was killed in Kisumu last week.
The late Ayieko was reported missing on October 18th and discovered dead five days later in a stream near the border of Siaya and Vihiga counties.
