DCI Officers Storm Pastor Ng’ang’a’s Home, Attempt To Abduct Him After Rebuking Gov’t
Officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) are being investigated for reportedly invading the home of Eliud Ng’ang’a, a Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) engineer and pastor.
CCTV footage obtained by Ng’ang’a shows officers storming his home in Ruiru, Kiambu County, on Thursday night, November 21.
They attempted to seize him violently, but their efforts were foiled by neighbors who heard the noise and arrived to investigate.
According to the pastor, the officers attempted to enter his residence by climbing over the gate without knocking.
After hearing a noise at the gate, he went to check and discovered seven men and one woman attempting to enter his property.

He asked them to identify themselves, and they claimed to be DCI officers.
At the time, two men had already jumped into the compound to inspect it before jumping back out to rejoin the rest of the party.
The pastor insisted that the men, who were armed and escorted by three vehicles, present their IDs.
A few minutes later, he left the house to confront them, forcing his son to accompany him outside.
“At first when I was talking to them, they did not want to respond, then I told my son to record all the number plates of the vehicle. That’s when one of the officers removed his gun and threatened to shoot my son,” Ng’ang’a narrated.
According to the preacher, he heroically instructed the officers to shoot him before killing his son. He also asked that they remove him if he was the reason for the raid.
At that point, the cops allegedly left, having gotten a call from a higher authority directing them to vacate the premises.
The senior engineer from KPLC Kiambu and the pastor believe the raid on his home was motivated by a recent sermon in which he lambasted Kenya’s Kwanza government.

The pastor had spoken out against the government’s efforts to prevent the church from discussing concerns about the nation’s status and administration.
In response to the event, the pastor filed a report with the Gitongore Police Station. The DCI has yet to comment on the subject.
This tragedy occurred barely one day after President William Ruto criticized the recent disappearances and abductions throughout the country.
“I must, however, make it very clear: there is no attempt to justify or exercise illegal arrests,” the president said during his State of the Nation Address on Thursday.
