REVEALED: CCTV Footage Debunks What Transpired Between Pastor Njeru, Nakuru Businesswoman

Footage has surfaced, offering insight into what may have happened before Florence Wanjiku Gichohi, a Nakuru businesswoman, was allegedly attacked by her partner.

On Tuesday, November 25, the National Police Service reported that Elias Mutugi Njeru, a pastor at Jesus Compassion Ministry Church, brought himself in at Nakuru Police Station.

Njeru surrendered on Monday morning, accompanied by his lawyer, and will be sent to the Menengai Police Station.

His arrest ended a surge of speculation about his whereabouts following the stabbing of his partner Wanjiku at their house in Rongai, Nakuru.

Hours after surrendering himself, CCTV footage emerged of Njeru and Wanjiru in an incident, hours before the stabbing news went viral.

In the November 21 film, the victim can be seen talking to a security guard near the couple’s corporate vehicle.

The film then turns to a building’s parking lot, where Njeru can be seen coming in his white Toyota Prado. He then briefly interacts with a security guard before the situation takes an unforeseen turn.

From a different viewpoint of the CCTV film, one of the company’s automobiles, a Toyota Succeed, emerges and slams into Njeru’s vehicle.

This behavior enrages Njeru, who attacks the driver of the other vehicle in an attempt to stop them.

After a brief physical conflict, the driver of the Succeed attempts to reverse the car using the driver’s door open and Njeru beside it.

The suspect, Njeru, can then be seen going towards the automobile, where he briefly interacts with the driver before returning to his vehicle and driving away.

The footage finishes with the Succeed driver remaining in the car, which has been severely damaged on the front side as a result of the collision with Njeru’s automobile.

While narrating the incident, the victim, Wanjiku, described the events that led up to the assault. According to her, the vicious attack stemmed from a chat about their business and personal concerns.

Wanjiku also said that she tried to quit their tumultuous relationship, but the pastor was not interested.

Njeru’s lawyer Gakuhi Chege revealed on Monday that the suspect presented himself to authorities to aid in investigations.

“We wish to assure the members of the public that the suspect who has been named in the incident is being detained awaiting investigations,” Chege stated.

“He is ready and willing to cooperate with authorities to determine the events which happened on November 21.”
